Garudasana is also known as Eagle pose. It builds mental strength, improves concentration, unifies mind and body, strengthens reproductive system and relieves symptoms of urinary tract infection.
This asana has the most vital benefits with the disease that are most commonly seen nowadays in people. It relieves lower back pain, cures slip disc problems, strengthens spine and muscles, stretches thighs, belly, and chest improves back flexibility, massages internal organs, improves digestion, strengthens shoulder and arms, improves posture and helps relieve stress.
It is considered as the most relaxing pose of yoga. This pose helps you to reduce nervous and muscular tension, boosts memory, lowers blood pressure and reduce heart rate, it helps you to reduce headache occurrence and gives you relieve from fatigue and insomnia. Better results can be gained if you place a bolster on your thighs while practicing Shavasana to relieve tension in your lower back. The weight of the bolster helps you to surrender to gravity. Also, this asana should be practiced in the end.
