9 Common Mistakes Beginner Writers Make frequently

Every person who possesses good writing skills wishes to become a famous author, but it often gets difficult for the writers to get their book published successfully because the mistakes they commit, cause them a failure.

Some of the most common mistakes are discussed below that every writer should keep in their consideration and avoid making them to launch a successful book.

1. Selecting a Dreadful Concept or Idea:

It is not necessary that the idea or concept that you have selected to write the book about has the aptitude for gathering the interest of the readers or target audience. It is important that go through with the idea and discuss it with someone to get a second opinion if it is going to work out or not.

2. Not Deciding the Characters Before Start Writing:

Characters are like the basic layer of creating the entire story because the entire storyline revolves around them, and they are what makes the book interesting. It is mandatory that the characters should be created before so that the scope of the story would remain in the boundaries.

3. Creating Characters While Writing the Book:

Another mistake that beginner writers make in their career is that they create new characters as they move on with the story. It is needed to be understood that if there will be too many characters in the story, it will be very challenging for the writer to wind up the story properly by bringing each character to a proper ending.

Professional and experienced writers are aware of the technique to deal with a good number of characters, but for beginners, it will be a never-ending loop, so it would be best to keep the number of characters to a minimal level.

4. Over-Describing a Scene or Action:

It is a positive thing to describe things with clarity so that the concept will be clear to the readers, but it would be a big mistake to drag any action and keep on describing things, as it will cause the readers to lose their interest.

5. Ignoring the Viewpoint of Readers:

Keeping the perspective of the readers in mind is very important. Although it is your idea that you have to follow, but you have to deliver the information in a way that could attract readers. Some writers make this mistake that they describe everything according to their standpoint, keeping the reader’s perspective aside, which is clearly not a healthy practice.

6. Not Hiring a Professional Editing Agency:

Beginner writers believe that they can do all the work on their own, so they try to the editing on their own. It is important to understand that editing also requires an unbiased point of view, which is difficult for a writer. There are so many professional agencies like BookWritingINC.com that offers the fine editing services, and it would be best if the writer would hire them to assure the quality of the book before getting it published.

7. Edit While Writing the Book:

Most of the time professional writers earn enough experience that they also happen to edit on their own as well, but even though they try to edit the book on their own, the biggest mistake that they commit is that they edit along writing it.

Many beginner writers also commit this common mistake as well. It is understood that writing a book itself is a giant and hectic work, and performing edits along with it only make the job difficult. It is better to proofread after you are done writing or it would best to hire a professional editing agency for proofreading and editing.

8. Taking Long Breaks:

A human brain does not work like a machine. It is important for a normal human being to take a break from work when they feel exhausted so that they could refresh their brain and work more productively. The problem arises when writers take long breaks, and they start to lose interest or inspiration. It is alright to take small breaks, but be sure of making it short so that the passion remains intact.

9. Poor Presentation:

Along with every other task, it is also important that the presentation of the book should be accurate so that it will be able to get the attention of the readers. Many beginner writers select the aesthetics according to their wish and choices rather than selecting it according to the theme and idea of the book.
